The Community Film Unit is dedicated to influencing social good through their unique and diverse product.

With support from Surrey County Council’s Youth Development Service, the young graduates have been able to set up a social enterprise that is influencing social change.

The Community Film Unit is working on a number of projects including;

• Surrey School Games 2011
• Sexual Exploitation; Raising the profile of sexual exploitation in young people and identifying the available support network

• Foster Carer Project; Raising the profile of foster care schemes and getting more adults to become actively involved as foster parents
• Youth Justice; Show casing how young people who have offended show remorse for their actions and give back to the community

The Community Film Unit was thrilled to be awarded the Social Enterprise Mark in July 2011. News of the CFU’s success prompted congratulations from a number of stakeholders and press releases, including Surrey County Council’s “Fit For Future” bulletin, about their rise and accomplishments.
