IQS Travel: the travel service that cares
January 18, 2012
Create a social benefit by booking your holiday with IQS Travel, a travel service that invests all profits to benefit disabled and disadvantaged people. IQS Travel is a social enterprise run by Ideal for All, a social enterprise certified with the Social Enterprise Mark, in Sandwell run by disabled people for disabled and disadvantaged people.
IQS Travel offers a wide range of holidays to suit everyone and all tastes. What really makes it stand out above other travel companies is that it specialises in accessible holidays for disabled people.
The team at Ideal for All understand the difficulty that disabled people face when booking short breaks or a holiday so IQS Travel was set to help disabled people find a suitable break to suit their needs. However, the holidays are not just restricted to disabled people, anyone can book a holiday or business trip IQS Travel.
Carol Goff, Chair of Ideal for All said: “We set IQS Travel up in May 2011. Customers that have used the travel service have been very complimentary about the specialist advice and holidays we provide. People are booking holidays with us because they know that all profits are being used to support a good cause.
Our travel service is aimed at everyone but we saw that there was a gap in the market for accessible holidays. We are a charity of disabled people working to help disabled people and through personal experience we are aware of the difficulties and barriers that we face when booking a holiday, so we have set up this agency with two aims in mind. One to support people with specialist accessible holidays and secondly to generate income to support the services our charity provides for local disabled and vulnerable people.”
IQS Travel is certified with the Social Enterprise Mark, which proves the company is in business to help society and protect the environment. The company has also recently won the ‘Choose Social Enterprise’ SE Profit Award. This award recognises IQS Travel as one of the shining lights in social enterprise in the region.
