Established in 1984, CEiS was created to provide a one-stop service for the training, development and financial needs of community businesses in Strathclyde. Our services have evolved while maintaining the community focus of our original stakeholders; our current portfolio includes: •Our Enterprise Support Service which is now the largest and most experienced service in the UK, supporting over 100 social enterprises annually with services ranging from feasibility studies to crisis management. •Financial Inclusion services, including DSL, which is the oldest cdfi in Scotland, and lends up to £2m annually to small businesses, sole traders and social enterprises to stimulate trade and business in disadvantaged communities. •Employability Services recognised for identifying and supporting those who are furthest from the labour market. Our ‘Integrated Employment Service’ continues to support individuals into employment and is being developed in Central Scotland and beyond. •An events management service that delivers high quality third sector events, including conferences, trade fairs, study visits and international learning programmes. •Supporting Communities with a comprehensive Community Asset development resource including acquisition of land and buildings and development of community energy programmes.
