North West Marketing was established in 1989 as the result of an Industrial Development Board/Derry Civic Group Initiative. Since inception North West Marketing has earned the reputation of being a key player in economic and enterprise development with the small business sector through the provision of a varied range of services and a solid blend of professionalism and service tailored to our customers\' requirements. It has striven to encourage locally based firms to achieve improved performance, a better sense of customer awareness, and forge stronger links with industry at home and abroad.

North West Marketing provides business development and consultancy services to the public, private and voluntary sector. The company currently employs 5 staff in the Derry office delivering a wide variety of programmes ranging from developing entrepreneurship to social and regional development and 3 staff in an overseas office. The organisation has extensive experience in providing support services for those seeking to start their own business and in developing/diversifying existing business through exporting activity through a variety of business development programmes.

NWM endeavours to:

- Increase awareness of the scope of marketing and its potential value to local industry;
- Provide a consolidated and professional approach to economic development in the North West of Ireland;
- Work with economic development agencies and fund holders in the formulation and delivery of economic strategy;
- Stimulate the development of the entrepreneurial culture;
- Provide a good after-care programme for the SME sector;
- Assist firms to develop export markets for their products;
- Support and assist local social economy businesses to development and grow
