Victim Support Enterprise is a social trading subsidiary established by its parent company Victim Support Scotland a charity that provides practical and emotional support to all people affected by crime both reported and unreported. It provides support through an extensive network of staff and volunteers based in local offices and courts throughout Scotland. Over the years we have built up a tremendous knowledge and expertise in relation to working with people.
We have developed and delivered a variety of training packages to a number of public and private sectors from First Scotrail to the Fire Service and we are experts in delivering bespoke training programmes that meet the needs of every company/charity incorporating the polices and procedures that are already in place.
An example of the courses available are -
Impact of Crime on Victims, Families and the Wider Community - this is suitable for all staff who may be involved in having to support people who have been victims of crime at home or at work.
Managing Change,Communication Skills, Managing your Team,Problem solving,Leadership,
Dealing with Difficult People and Recruitment and Selection -
These are day courses which would develop and enhance the skills of all Managers especially people new into a Managerial role.
Criminal Justice System
This course is aimed at people working with the public who may through their job become a Victim of Crime and have to attend court as a Witness. This course has been particularly useful for people working in the area of public transport.
We have a number of other courses available - Working with People affected by a Traumatic Event, Working with Victims & Survivors of Rape & Sexual Abuse.
We are also an Accredited Centre offering a variety of Vocational Qualifications.
