We exist to enable mothers to make an informed choice about their infant feeding and to access the tools, information and support they need to breastfeed for as long as they wish to. This involves the training of volunteers, development of resources, compilation of databas eof suppport, supporting community support groups and working to support our partners in their work and implenetation of strategic priorities. We work to make sure that mothers who wish to breastfeed are able to succeed by accessing support, good information and sources of motivation. Real Baby Milk works on a national, regional and local level. With 9 out of 10 new mothers saying that they stopped breastfeeding before they wished to, we are endeavouring to resolve the factors cited by them as causes of cessation. (Infant Feeding Survey 2005). Real Baby Milk is a CIC and works with NHS trusts, Local Authorities, private sector, volunteers, and families themselves to ensure that all of our services and products are meeting the needs of our community. Real Baby Milk is a regiatered accredited training centre and also seeks to empower women to volunteer in their own communities and to gain skills and qualifications. Real Baby Milk adheres to the World Health Organisation code on the marketing of breastmilk substitues and only works with organisations who do not contravene that code in it's entirety.
