GroCycle is an award winning social enterprise and proud operator of the UK’s first Urban Mushroom Farm.

We have been growing Oyster mushrooms from waste coffee grounds since 2011, and are still hugely inspired by the scale of the opportunity. We created the GroCycle Urban Mushroom Farm to test our ideas, and have designed an easy to use Mushroom Grow Kit to enable you to grow your own gourmet mushrooms at home from waste coffee grounds.

We’re working to reduce the amount of coffee grounds being buried in landfill and at the same time we’ve been growing delicious food and engaging people in the process. We want other people to join in too as there’s so much coffee waste out there!


National Lobster Hatchery

The National Lobster Hatchery is a pioneering marine conservation, research and education charity.

Our primary aim is to help conserve the vulnerable lobster populations and preserve coastal marine biodiversity. In doing so we will be safeguarding the livelihoods of small coastal communities and preserve our rich coastal heritage.

The Little Shop of Lobsters helps to fund the work of the charity. You can buy chocolate lobsters, fluffy lobsters, lobster wrapping paper, lobster books, lobster clothing even lobster deckchairs!

CLARITY is a charity and a social enterprise that was established in 1854 and has been providing employment for blind and disabled people for over 160 years.

At CLARITY we operate to provide blind and disabled people with work and training through the manufacture and sale of our range of beauty and cleaning products.

Employment enables our staff to develop their independence, build their confidence and play a full part in society. All profits are reinvested to grow the business and improve opportunities for our staff. We never test products on animals and all of our suppliers are based in the UK.


Health Exchange is dedicated to empowering and motivating people to achieve better health.

Our services support people to prevent and manage long-term conditions and improve their overall physical, mental and emotional wellbeing and encourage them to make long-term, sustainable behaviour change.

John Taylor Hospice

At the heart of the community for more than 100 years, John Taylor Hospice supports hundreds of families by providing care at its In-Patient Unit and visiting patients in their homes.

Our ‘Taylor-made’ care also ensures pharmacy, occupational therapy, well-being and spiritual care, social support and physiotherapy including acupuncture.
Our dedicated staff and volunteers ensure they make every moment matter for every patient and family member they care for.

The Furniture Scheme

The Furniture Scheme provides recycled furniture to disadvantaged people in Shropshire, helping to support those most in need.

Our core objectives are to relieve poverty, eliminate discrimination and protect the environment – to reduce, re-use, recycle. Through our operations we also offer training and work placements to those furthest from the job market.


We see value in everything, especially people. As a social enterprise, 100% raised from sales is reinvested into the organisation.

We have a number of shops selling preloved, restored and upcycled items, also second hand books.
