Social Impact Statements
The Social Enterprise Mark criteria includes a requirement that the applicant can demonstrate that social and/or environmental objectives are being achieved.
In support of this, new applicants and renewing Mark holders must submit Social Impact Statements that summarise their headline activities and achievements, helping show how they are striving to make a difference and stand up to scrutiny of purpose as a social enterprise.

1) Providing HR support to third sector organisations
Real People is an award-winning HR consultancy and social enterprise developed by the charity St Mungo's. Based in London but operating nationally, we specialise in providing HR support to third-sector organisations.
As an ethical social enterprise, we are known for the award-winning quality and reliability of our advice in addition to training that is both practical and straight talking. We strive to improve people management practice in the sector; in turn, improving the quality of service that is provided by our clients.
2) Key measures of activity
We have provided HR support and advice to 68 organisation for the last financial year and 90% of them are operating in the voluntary sector.
We gift aid 100% of our profits to St Mungo's, who provide a bed and support to more than 2,500 people a night who are either homeless or at risk, and work to prevent homelessness, helping about 25,000 people a year.
3) Investing profits to help people move on from homelessness
As an ethical social enterprise, Real People donates 100% of its profits to the homelessness charity, St Mungo's. We believe people can - and do - recover from the issues that create homelessness.
