  • Ideal for All is a not for profit company and registered charity run by disabled people for disabled people in Sandwell. We provide a range of social and health care services for disabled people, carers and disadvantaged groups. Our aim is to help the people using our services to learn new skills and live as independently as possible.

    Our range of services promote independent living, health and wellbeing and we bring people together through our social events for members and local people. We have been recognised as a leader in our area of work and have won numerous awards for the charity and services we provide.

    We have also set up Ideal For All Enterprises, a social enterprise venture, incorporating training, payroll and design & media services. All profits made through the social enterprise are invested back into the charity.

    Social Impact Statements

    The Social Enterprise Mark criteria includes a requirement that the applicant can demonstrate that social and/or environmental objectives are being achieved.

    In support of this, new applicants and renewing Mark holders must submit Social Impact Statements that summarise their headline activities and achievements, helping show how they are striving to make a difference and stand up to scrutiny of purpose as a social enterprise.

    1) Examples of services provided

    We have delivered a range of services through our ‘Grow for Work’ project, a fully integrated health, wellbeing and employability 12 week programme, with ‘wrap-around’ engagement and post-employment support.

    Targeting eligible unemployed and economically inactive social housing tenants with disabilities, health conditions and experiencing multiple disadvantage who reside in Princes End, Tipton.

     


    2) Delivering employability and social care services

    We have delivered a variety of employability and social care services to 111 people.

    Working in partnership with a local Housing Association we have acquired premises to deliver services in the heart of the community 5 days a week.

    Together with other partners we have delivered several community based events most notably a very successful Christmas event that included presents for the children and a range of donated clothing for low income families.

     


    3) Outcomes of activities

    4 people have been supported into employment.

    Though our work with residents we have delivered a wide variety of short horticultural programs, this has led to the planting of flowers and shrubs across the estate positively changing the look and feel of previously drab, under-utilised areas.
