CITYDRIVE 2019 is a a week-long celebration of social enterprise in Birmingham, built around five calls to action: start, work with, volunteer for, invest in and buy from social enterprise.
There is an action-packed programme featuring canal boats, arts and heritage trails, music walks, marketplaces, networks, a social enterprise conference, micro-fund ‘porridge’ and even a wedding fair.
It all kicks off on Monday 8th April with the social enterprise conference to shake up how we approach social entrepreneurship, with leading global enterprise speakers from make-a-difference brands including Madlug and Belu Water.
Other highlights of the week include a breakfast hosted by Big Society Capital exploring investment for place; a living history tour of Handsworth telling stories of protest, industry, nature and progress, a workshop on culture and mental health in the workplace and a micro-fund for organisations operating in West Birmingham and Smethwick.
