Coinciding with the 26th anniversary of the UN International Day for the Eradication of Poverty and taking inspiration from this, this event from Social Audit Network (SAN) will explore how social accounting and audit can be used to gain a better understanding of poverty, including:
- What poverty looks like in the UK in 2018, drawing inspiration from the work of the Joseph Rowntree Foundation
- Exploring the international viewpoint; local learning from global activities
- Viewing poverty from the positions of a range of stakeholders – lived experiences, investors, funders and commissioners of services, researchers and service delivery
- Debating how social accounting and audit can be applied to better understand poverty
