The Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) is hosting a two-hour event at their London Office to introduce Higher Education providers to the social enterprise accreditation available from Social Enterprise Mark CIC.
Social Enterprise Mark CIC, and representatives from universities which have been awarded the Social Enterprise Mark/Gold Mark, will be on hand to provide more information about the accreditation, including benefits for your institution and how to apply.
HEFCE has supported the higher education sector to develop their support for social enterprise and social innovation through its partnership with UnLtd, the Foundation for Social Entrepreneurs, and the Social Innovation sandpit. They have established a successful working relationship with Social Enterprise Mark CIC to encourage the higher education sector to support, promote and embed social enterprise in their institutions. Following an increase in interest over the last 12 months, there are now ten higher education providers accredited with the Social Enterprise Mark or Gold Mark.
