An open conversation event on social enterprise and the third sector at Ruskin College
After centuries of education in the context of progressive social change, working class educators now face a future full of tension around the growing privitisation agenda and the increasing power and influence of big businesses in our daily lives and work.
- How can we embed a critique of capitalism into an understanding of business?
- What lessons can be learned from the Cooperative and Labour movements?
- How can the principal of Social Change be placed at the heart of enterprise?
This event will consist of a short key-note presentation from John Hilary (War on Want), followed by an open discussion on aspects of business and social change. The event will end with an opportunity to feedback and reflect on the discussions.
