Whether you are a social enterprise, charity, sole trader or even a curious member of the local community…you can always gain invaluable connections, introductions, information and leads when you network in person or online. Attendees of this seminar will receive an opportunity to experience being part of a pioneering community of like-minded people, where delegates can learn key skills so they gain the maximum benefit from networking, whether online or in person.

Learning the art of self-resilience and forming close knit relationships within your community are increasingly fundamental life skills for thriving both personally and professionally, especially with the withdrawal of funds from local communities as is the current financial austerity trend by government.

David Stone, Founder of Guru Marketing and the Kindness Foundation, and a trainer with the Lloyds School of Social Entrepreneurs, will be sharing best practice networking and community building know-how together with resilience and mindfulness practices. Helen Bottril from Social Enterprise Mark holder Cosmic IT, an ethical IT and social media consultancy, will be sharing her extensive experiences in how to use social media to build an authentic personal & community presence online.

This low cost event has been designed to be affordable, costing just £10 (£5 for SENS members). Registration will begin at 9am and the event will run from 9.30 til noon, followed by further informal networking and refreshments.

Proceeds from this event will go to SENS – the Social Enterprise Network Somerset and the Kindness Foundation’s mindfulness outreach programme for young people.
